The NSW Government is hiring 1,000 staff to provide COVID-19 advice to individuals and business owners.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the extra staff would be employed by Service NSW.
“Advice and information is changing on a daily, even hourly basis. It is important that the NSW Government can provide up-to-date information to our community through the Service NSW hotline,” Mr Crouch said.
“The hotline number to call is 13 77 88 and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
“The hotline provides the latest information on restrictions, social distancing rules, financial support for businesses and cost of living savings for families and individuals.”
Mr Crouch said Stage 2 restrictions came into force from 11.59pm on Wednesday, 25 March.
“I want to remind our Central Coast community that Stage 2 restrictions are in force and must be followed by everyone,” Mr Crouch said.
“Police now have the power to issue $1,000 on-the-spot fines to individuals who do not comply with public health orders.
“This is a difficult time for everyone but we need to all do the right thing in order to stop the spread and flatten the curve.”
