Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch is encouraging the community to give blood these school holidays, marking his 58th donation over Easter.
Blood donation reserves face significant pressure over the Easter period, as donations typically decline across New South Wales.
“I’m encouraging everyone across our community to join me in rolling up their sleeves these school holidays and giving blood,” Mr Crouch said.
“Blood is needed every day, whether for people undergoing cancer treatment, those living with blood disorders, or patients in emergency situations.”
“Just one donation can save up to three lives, so I urge people to book in and make a real difference.”
Donating blood runs in the family, with Mr Crouch’s dad, Wayne, also a long-time donor in South Australia.
“Dad has been donating for many years and still remembers his first donation more than 45 years ago in Adelaide,” Mr Crouch said.
“With demand remaining high and supplies under pressure, now is the perfect time to step up and help.”
