Construction Underway for New Amenities Block at Jirramba Playground

Jun 6, 2026

Construction has commenced on a new amenities block at Jirramba Playground, delivering a long-awaited upgrade secured through the advocacy of the 3 Villages Community Group and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch.

The project is being delivered after Central Coast Council received $150,000 from the NSW Government to replace the ageing amenities block, which had exceeded its operational life and no longer met the needs of the community.

“Jirramba Playground is a fantastic place for families to spend time outdoors, but the old amenities block was rundown and no longer fit-for-purpose,” Mr Crouch said.

“After working closely with the 3 Villages Community Group, which has championed this upgrade for many years, we were able to secure funding to make this renewal a reality.”

“Given the popularity of Jirramba Playground, it’s important we get the basics right and provide facilities that are clean, modern and suitable for the community.”

The 3 Villages Community Group said they were pleased to see the beginning of works on the Jirramba Playground amenities, following their strong advocacy for improved facilities stretching back to 2022.

“The new amenities will be a significant improvement, bringing the park up to today’s standards,” said President of the 3 Villages Community Group, Taia Sansom.

“The 3 Villages Community Group Committee have been advocating for these amenities since 2022/23, so we are relieved to see construction starting.”

“Our next priority is getting the carpark upgraded to make sure it can adequately accommodate everyone who uses the park”

The new amenities block will feature a contemporary design aligned with Council’s draft Public Toilet Strategy and will have two unisex cubicles and one unisex accessible cubicle.
