Central Coast families are saving hundreds of dollars through Cost of Living appointments at Service NSW, with new data released today revealing an average saving of more than $500.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the average savings identified for customers at Gosford was $570, while customers at Woy Woy saved $570 and $558 at Erina.
“Since the Cost of Living appointments became available in 2018, more than 6,000 Central Coast residents have benefitted from meeting a Cost of Living specialist and accessing the NSW Government’s rebates and savings,” Mr Crouch said.
“This means more families and individuals walking away with extra money in their pocket.
“The most popular savings for Central Coast residents include the Regional Seniors Travel Card, the National Parks Concession Pass, the NSW Gas Rebate, pensioner concessions on vehicle registrations, and the Low Income Household Rebate.”
Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said there are up to 70 hip pocket savings available.
“We are committed to easing the cost of living for households and Service NSW has brought together all the savings under the one roof,” Mr Dominello said.
“Families can call Service NSW on 13 77 88 or visit a Service Centre to make a Cost of Living appointment with a specialist who can help them identify which rebates and savings they’re eligible for. The specialist will do the heavy lifting for them.”
Customers can also use the online Savings Finder at www.service.nsw.gov.au to identify the Cost of Living rebates and savings they may be eligible for.
