The Minns Labor Government must explain why Kincumber is still waiting for its promised ambulance station, with construction now underway at Lisarow while the future of the Kincumber station remains in limbo.
In August 2024, expressions of interest were sought for a site in Kincumber to develop a new ambulance station as part of the NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program. More than two years on, the community is still waiting.
Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said while progress on Lisarow Ambulance Station was welcome, the future of Kincumber Ambulance Station remained in limbo years after first being announced.
“It is good to see work finally underway at Lisarow, but our community deserves to know when the promised Kincumber Ambulance Station will be delivered,” Mr Crouch said.
“More than two years after the Government sought expressions of interest for a site, we still have no confirmed location, no construction start date and no indication of when the station will be operational.
“The Minns Labor Government has put this project on the go slow, and it is our community that is missing out.”
Mr Crouch said the Government needed to provide answers about the delay and demonstrate it was making the Kincumber station a priority.
“Our hardworking paramedics do an incredible job supporting our community, and they deserve the facilities and resources they need to continue that vital work.
“This government has repeatedly spoken about boosting frontline emergency care on the Central Coast, yet when it comes to ambulance stations, they continually fail to deliver.”
“After more than two years the Minns Labor Government needs come clean and explain what is holding this project up and when we can expect to see work begin.”
