Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has welcomed the announcement made today by the NSW Government that the Empire Bay Progress Association will receive $8,500 in funding for conservation works to Empire Bay War Memorial.
“It is great that the Empire Bay War Memorial will receive funding for conservation works which includes the replacement of the base of the memorial as well as necessary cleaning.”
Mr Crouch said the investment into the conservation of the war memorial will be appreciated not only by the Empire Bay Progress Association, but the wider community.
“War memorials like the one at Empire Bay play an important role in our community, especially on ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day services here on the Central Coast.”
“It is excellent to see this sort of investment continue into our local community war memorials, and I congratulate President Ken Shaw of the Empire Bay Progress Association as well as the numerous volunteers who look after the memorial for their successful grant application.”
