More cash on offer to fix local roads

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch is encouraging Central Coast Council to apply for a share of $136.4 million from Round 2 of the NSW Government’s Fixing Local Roads program.

“The Central Coast has already seen $2.7 million delivered to nine projects through Round 1 of this funding program,” Mr Crouch said.

“This funding is targeted at small projects that can make a big difference to the Central Coast community in a short amount of time.

“Millions of dollars are now on offer through Round 2 of the program to repair and maintain more of Central Coast Council’s 2,200 kilometre road network.”

Mr Crouch said the funding would be prioritised for projects that can commence quickly.

“Projects will need to be delivered within two years of receiving funding to ensure our community benefits from smoother and safer journeys as quickly as possible, while also driving local job opportunities,” Mr Crouch said.

Applications under Round 2 of the Fixing Local Roads program remain open until Friday, 4 December 2020.
