The NSW Government is encouraging seniors to get online and get physical as part of the Biggest Online Seniors Workout.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said COVID-19 had altered the daily routines of thousands of senior citizens on the Central Coast.
“One in five people is aged 65 and over on the Central Coast and I want to ensure that our senior citizens are supported in every way possible at this difficult time,” Mr Crouch said.
“COVID-19 has forced everyone to make changes to their daily routines, but it is important we continue to promote health and fitness while staying home.
“That’s why the NSW Government is encouraging senior citizens to join the Biggest Online Seniors Workout. This free 30 minute workout will be live streamed on Facebook, YouTube and Zoom at 11am on Wednesday, 29 April.”
NSW Seniors Card partner and Active Seniors Health Centre owner Taylor Harrison will be hosting the Biggest Online Seniors Workout.
“We are championing health for our seniors more than ever in these unprecedented times to help them maintain balance, strength and flexibility while self-isolating,” Dr Harrison said.
