Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the 2026-27 NSW Budget had failed to deliver for the region and offered little support for families.
With household bills continuing to soar and critical infrastructure projects delayed or in limbo, families across the Central Coast will continue to pay the price under the Minns Labor Government.
Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch said the 2026-27 NSW Budget had failed to deliver for the region and offered little support for families
“At a time when families are struggling with the rising cost of living, this budget does very little to ease financial pressure.”
“While we’ve seen a reduction to the toll cap, what we haven’t seen is funding for important cost-of-living measures, such as the reintroduction of the Regional Seniors Travel Card.”
“For many across our region the cost-of-living crisis continues to grow, but this budget does little to help them get ahead.”
Despite being one of the fastest growing regions in the state, the Central Coast has once again missed out on investment in critical infrastructure.
Mr Crouch said the budget’s Central Coast priorities had been built on reannouncements, with funding for major infrastructure projects being recycled from last year’s budget.
“Our region deserves genuine investment from the Minns Labor Government, yet all we are seeing is recycled announcements dressed up as new spending.”
“What we haven’t seen is funding for the congestion-busting duplication of the Central Coast Highway between Wamberal and Bateau Bay, not one dollar for the long-promised Kincumber Ambulance Station, and the list goes on.”
“While the government has promised $1 million for Empire Bay Drive, this funding is for planning only and will not put one shovel in the ground for construction.”
“Our region deserves a budget that delivers real cost-of-living relief and genuine investment – instead, we’ve got reannouncement after reannouncement and missed opportunities.”
