After three years of empty promises and talk, the 26,000 motorists who use Avoca Drive everyday are still waiting for their long-promised upgrade.
Despite the long-awaited upgrade of Avoca Drive first being promised in April 2022, there has been not a shovel in the ground, just delay after delay.
Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has called on the Minns Labor Government to get to work and commence construction on the major road upgrade.
“Since 2022, the announced upgrade of Avoca Drive has moved absolutely nowhere under the Federal and State Labor Governments, and the 26,000 motorists who use this road everyday continue to suffer.” Mr Crouch said.
“We have seen endless media releases, community notifications of work, but still, we’re yet to see a shovel in the ground – it’s time for the government to actually get work and start construction on this vital upgrade.”
Investigations for the upgrade occurred between August and September, however a start-date for construction on the upgrade is yet to be confirmed.
