Applications will soon open for the NSW Government’s $160 million Stronger Country Communities Fund Round Five, which will see more investment in regional community infrastructure and programs.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Adam Crouch said the latest round was a fantastic opportunity for community groups and Central Coast Council to seek funding for projects that improve the quality of life for locals.
“This is great news for the Central Coast, and I am thrilled that the NSW Government is delivering on its commitment, making our region an even better place to live, work and play,” Mr Crouch said.
“We have seen the benefits provided by previous Stronger Country Communities Fund rounds, including a new community hall for Norah Head residents and accessibility upgrades at Niagara Park Stadium.
“Earlier this year, I had the honour of joining Central Coast Council Administrator Rik Hart, Ryan from Mac’s Own Boardriders and community members from MacMasters Beach to announce funding through the Stronger Country Communities Fund to upgrade the bathroom and changeroom facilities at Macmasters Beach.
“We have seen many community facilities receive funding through Stronger Country Communities, including Sun Valley Park Play Space, Adelaide Street Oval Club House, and Terrigal BMX Track. I would encourage any eligible community groups who may be interested to apply.”
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said the latest round of the Stronger Country Communities Fund builds on the previous rounds and continues to provide important infrastructure and programs for regional towns.
“The Stronger Country Communities Fund is continuing to make a real difference to the lives of people right across regional NSW, with $500 million invested over the past four rounds delivering more than 2,000 local projects in regional NSW,” Mr Toole said.
“The NSW Government is investing record amounts to deliver the big picture infrastructure needed to stimulate regional economies, but we’re also backing community projects that make a big positive difference to everyday life.”
Applications for Round Five of the Stronger Country Communities Fund opens Friday 5 August 2022.
