Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has congratulated Brisbania Public School student Zali on her outstanding achievements in AFL following her successful selection for a statewide competition.
She was selected to compete in one of only six teams across the state as part of the 2026 NSW Australian Football Primary All Schools Girls 12 Years and Under Championships, organised by the NSW Primary School Sports Association.
The championships provide talented young athletes from public schools across New South Wales with the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at in competitive sports at a state level.
“I offer my sincerest congratulations to Zali on this amazing achievement, not only being selected for this competition, but also achieving an impressive second-place finish at the championship held in Tamworth,” said Mr Crouch.
“We have so many talented young athletes across our region and it is a great privilege to be able to recognise students like Brisbania’s own in the New South Wales Parliament.”
“Young people like Zali are wonderful sporting ambassadors for their school communities, and I look forward to seeing what she achieves in the years ahead.”
“Aside from her sporting achievements, she is well regarded by her school community for her talented public speaking skills and a valuable member of the school leadership team.” he said.
A certificate acknowledging Zali’s achievements was presented to her by Mr Crouch at the school assembly.
