Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has welcomed the announcement that upgrades to Crackneck Lookout have been completed as part of the former Coalition Government’s $1 million investment the lookout.
“The much-awaited upgrade of Crackneck Lookout has now been completed, and it is excellent to see that the lookout is already being utilised by so many members of the community.”
Mr Crouch said that the upgrades will allow for increased accessibility for all, with new wheel-chair friendly parking, viewing areas, pathways and upgraded picnic areas all contributing to a more enjoyable space.
“One of the key problems with the former layout of Crackneck Lookout was the lack of suitable parking and infrastructure.”
“Now, under these upgrades funded by the former Coalition Government, the area will rival other well-known lookouts and picnic areas across New South Wales.”
Mr Crouch said that now whale migration season is in full swing, now is the time to visit the refurbished lookout.
“With the Humpback Highway filled with traffic, now is the time for whale watchers to get out and enjoy an afternoon picnic at Crackneck while whales migrate across the ocean.”
