Statement on Regional Travel Changes

The Premier and Deputy Premier have announced NSW travel restrictions will be lifted on Monday, 1 June.

My main focus is the safety and wellbeing of our community. Pleasingly, the health advice shows case numbers are low across NSW and that there is plenty of capacity in the health system.

I want to stress that everyone needs to practice social distancing, be responsible and get tested for COVID-19 even if you have the mildest symptoms.

The feedback I have received shows our Central Coast community broadly supports the lifting of travel restrictions. This is welcome news for Central Coast businesses and will help to kick-start our local economy.
