Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has welcomed the start of field investigations for the upgrade of Avoca Drive, with the investigations helping to inform future road work and planning of the upgrade.
“I’m delighted to see that the $2 million I secured in the State Budget has been able to assist in progressing the upgrade of Avoca Drive, with field investigations beginning on the 22nd of January.”
“Prior to the release of the State Budget, I lobbied to secure the necessary funds to kickstart this upgrade as there was great concern in our community that this project would be indefinitely delayed or worse, cancelled under the Albanese Labor Government’s unnecessarily infrastructure review.”
“To date, no funds have been delivered by the Federal Government as confirmed by the NSW Minister for Regional Transport, and I look forward to funding made available in this year’s Federal Budget to allow this major infrastructure project to proceed for our community and the thousands of commuters that use Avoca Drive every day.”
“In addition, I will also be calling on the State Labor Government to continue to deliver additional funding in this year’s State Budget to ensure that our community gets its fair share.”
