Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch has welcomed the announcement by Central Coast Council that cliff stabilisation works will be undertaken at the Terrigal headland.
“It is pleasing to hear that Council will be undertaking cliff stabilisation works to the headland near the Terrigal Boardwalk, which was damaged due to naturally occurring rock falls in March 2023.”
“I have recently visited the Terrigal Boardwalk myself and have seen that Council has taken the necessary safety precautions and have also completed repairs to the fencing that was damaged by the rock falls.”
Mr Crouch acknowledged that cliff stabilisation works would be necessary to prevent any further damages to the Boardwalk in future and welcomed Council’s decision to temporarily close the Boardwalk on weekdays for public safety.
“While I acknowledge the inconvenience to users caused by the closure of the Boardwalk, I want to stress that Council has committed to opening the boardwalk on weekends allowing for the public to enjoy this fantastic piece of community infrastructure.”
Central Coast Council has advised that the Terrigal Boardwalk will be closed weekdays from Tuesday, 13th of June until the end of July.
